For our July meeting, we are delighted to welcome Mark Swain. From Mark –
I have been invited to speak to members of the Utah Valley Astronomy Club on Thursday, July 14th, at 7p.m. in the Planetarium located on the 3rd floor of the Pope Science Building on the campus of Utah Valley University.
The title of my program is: “My Lifelong Love Affair with the Starry Sky.” It is the story of my lifelong fascination with the night sky that started when I received a telescope for my 12th birthday. I talk about meeting my wife while speaking at the University of Utah. I detail my adventures in both observational astronomy and astrophotography. I talk about visiting major observatories and hosting star parties at my backyard observatory. My presentation lasts about an hour.
